The 2002 edition of The Fisheries Guide to Lakes and Ponds of Connecticut features full page color depth maps of 113 lakes and ponds. It replaces the 1959 Lakes Survey with better and more up-to-date lake bottom mapping (bathymetry). Each of the individual color maps provides depths, bottom contours, inflowing stream locations, fish species and neighboring roads, water surface area size, directions and launch ramp conditions. There are 20 pages of color plates depicting and describing the natural history of each of 25 fishes common to Connecticut's waters. The Fisheries Unit of the DEP provides a more complete description and nine sample pages. 354 pages, full color. A fine document and a great gift!
